Watch For Me OK
Mar 20, 2026
If you find yourself surrounded by 500 or so cyclists on a Thursday night in Oklahoma City, chances are you just passed Hide and Go Bike. Hide and Go Bike meets from April to August on every Thursday evening that weather allows for a roughly 10-mile social ride. This organization is like no other social ride in the OKC metro and has become a staple of the Oklahoma City bicycling community, bringing together riders of all backgrounds for a fun, social experience.
Now six years old, Hide and Go Bike has been building community and bicyclist commuter visibility through bikes and good times since the Covid-19 pandemic. What started as a game of hide and seek in the city soon turned into a weekly cruise around central OKC with a few friends. This group quickly grew to over a hundred members.
Riders of all types participate in Hide and Go Bike, from those with discount store and pawn shop bikes, to those with $5,000 bikes that have unpronounceable names, and those with bikes Frankensteined together from spare garage parts. No matter the bike, everyone is able to have a good time together.
Hide and Go Bike successfully brings riders of every ability together to build community and showcase Oklahoma City’s bicycle infrastructure. Beyond fun, this organization plays an important role in promoting visibility and safety for bicyclists. Events like this highlight the importance of biking in Oklahoma City and help showcase the city’s growing bicycle infrastructure.
Hide and Go Bike’s rides always kick off at Perle Mesta Park, bike-friendly hotspot in OKC, at 6:30 p.m., and rides typically include a halftime break at local favorite, George’s Liquors on Main Street. The first 2026 ride will take place on April 16. Before the ride begins, Watch For Me will be handing out helmets, lights, and reflective gear to any riders in need to be safe for the OKC cruise.
